What a year it has been for Hotel Le Coucou Méribel! For its first season, the hotel has already been recognized as one of the best hotels in the world by travelers.
Last May, it was announced as one of the winners of the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List 2020. This award, given by a jury of experts from Condé Nast Travelers, is given each year to newly opened hotels, spas and restaurants throughout the world. Hotel Le Coucou Méribel is considered among the 86 most promising new hotels of the world by the panel of experts. 6 hotels in total made the Hot List in France, and Hotel Le Coucou Méribel is the only French hotel in the mountains to have received the distinction.

Icing on the cake, earlier last week, Luxury Lifestyle Magazine announced the winners of its Travel Awards for 2020. Once again, Hotel Le Coucou Méribel made the list in the “Overseas Hotels” category. For this award, the selection process was a little different as hotels and destinations were nominated by travelers themselves, giving them the opportunity to reward hotels and destinations that surpass their expectations. Readers had until the end of May to send their nominations to the magazine, date after which a jury of experts shortlisted 25 entries per award categories. The magazine’s readers were then able to vote for their favorite hotel from July 1st to October 30th.
Among the 53 winners of the category, only 10 hotels are French, including Hotel Le Coucou Méribel’s sister hotel, Hotel Crillon le Brave.
The Meribel Ski station was also voted as one of the Best Ski resorts of the world, the only one in France with Courchevel to have received this distinction.
