At Hotel Le Coucou Méribel, we have joined the Giving Bag program initiative, allowing our guests to donate objects and clothes that they cannot or do not wish to take home after their stay. This initiative is part of a responsible and sustainable approach by the hotel and the Maisons Pariente collection. These values of mutual aid and sharing are dear to the hotels of the Maisons Pariente collection, of which Hôtel Le Coucou Méribel is a part.
The principle is very simple: you will find a “Giving Bag” in your room. Use it to put everything you do not want to take with you and leave it in your room or give it to the reception staff when you leave. The donations collected by our teams will be given to the Savoyard branch of Secours Populaire Français to give them a second life and help people in difficulty.

The Secours Populaire Français at Le Coucou Méribel
Le Secours Populaire Français is a non-profit association whose mission is to act against poverty and exclusion. With the help of numerous volunteers, the association gives assistance to the most disadvantaged in 12 areas, such as emergency aid, reception of people in difficulty, food aid, and access to culture, sports, and leisure activities, in order to have a global approach to poverty issues.
The lack of means to dress properly is linked to other problems such as difficulties in finding a job or a lack of self-esteem. Clothing and material assistance allows the beneficiaries to dress properly and thus regain dignity and a connection with the rest of the world.
