A Magical Valentine's Day at Le Coucou Méribel!

28 December 2023

New Year’s Eve at Le Coucou Méribel: an evening full of surprises!

A New Year’s Eve to remember

Here, New Year’s Eve is as much about magic as it is about sharing and tasting, thanks to our 3 restaurants. While each has its own unique atmosphere, what they all have in common is a quest for excellence, in both food and service.

A gourmet New Year’s Eve

This unique dinner is orchestrated by Crillon le Brave’s executive chef, Adrien Brunet, in a 4-handed collaboration with our chef Romain Guyot.

To be sure of being able to take part, you’d better make a reservation! Throughout the evening, surprises will punctuate your New Year’s Eve dinner, and at the stroke of 12 midnight, the transition to the New Year is set to music! Accompanied by confetti and hat distribution, you’ll celebrate the New Year in the most festive way possible.

Restaurants to awaken our guests’ taste buds during the festive season

The very first Beefbar in the mountains offers a lunch and dinner menu of exceptional meats, as well as a fine selection of dishes with a mountain flavour. Inside, you’ll find the enchantment of cuckoo clock wall sculptures by artist Eric Croes, chairs reinterpreting Savoyard models, and frosted glass suspensions, a nod to the shape of ice cubes. Outside, a spacious terrace, accessible directly from the slopes, offers a comfortable lunch with an impressive view of the valley and a musical ambience. Aficionados can enjoy the great Beefbar classics, unique meats such as Wagyu beef from Australia and Kobe beef from Japan, as well as must-try comfort food recipes to share… or not! (pot-au-feu, shepherd’s pie, Mont d’Or fondue…).

On the sixth floor of the hotel, at Biancaneve, enjoy the best of traditional dishes. A warm and refined restaurant, Biancaneve offers an eclectic bistronomy of sharing, with comforting dishes by chef Romain Guyot based on fine, often local produce, lots of vegetables and, above all, uncommon generosity. The “banc de l’écailler” overflows with oysters and seafood, Sologne caviars, smoked salmon and king prawns, exclusive to Méribel.

With family or friends, enjoy the pleasure of being together in a piano bar atmosphere, with a singer covering the greatest French standards. The new epicurean evening rendezvous for night owl gourmets.

From this epicurean refuge, savor the peaceful passing of time. Perched on the 8th floor of Le Coucou, Le Fumoir restaurant welcomes cheese lovers around its fireplace in a friendly, cosy atmosphere. Here, you’ll enjoy Savoyard specialties that are as hearty as they are refined! Local gastronomy with an emphasis on local produce.

Unforgettable mountain experiences to ring in the New Year

Downhill skiing, off-piste skiing, ski touring, snowboarding… all kinds of winter sports await thrill-seekers at Méribel during the festive season.

Downhill skiing, of course, with 330 runs and 155 lifts in the world’s largest ski area. The most daring can test their mettle on the Roc de Fer slope, where the 2023 world championships will be held.

For the less sporty, discover snowshoeing or horseback riding. Enjoy the silence and pure beauty of the mountains as you follow the hiking trails, far from the crowds. For snowshoe outings, an instructor will guide you to discover the best itineraries and Méribel’s well-hidden secrets, so you can head back to school in peace.

On New Year’s Eve, you’ve just made your last runs of the year, your last curves in crystal-clear powder. It’s 5 p.m., you’re on the snow front, a glass of mulled wine in hand, and you’re sharing with a happy crowd a magnificent torchlit descent led by the resort’s instructors. Sound, light and magic are imprinted on your retinas, and that’s just the start of what promises to be a memorable New Year’s Eve in the mountains at Le Coucou Méribel!
